Miroslaw Sanek
Previously served as Deputy Inspector General for Personal Data Protection. He was appointed to this position on January 17, 2018 by the Speaker of the Polish Parliament at the request of the Inspector General for Personal Data Protection.
Miroslaw Sanek was born on October 1, 1979 in Cracow. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at Jagiellonian University.
He began his professional activity as an employee of parliamentary and senatorial offices. He dealt primarily with the protection of the rights of tenants of private tenements. He then worked as a counselor at the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland in the Office of Culture, Science and National Heritage.
As a lawyer on behalf of the Polish School Teachers Association, among other things, he represented teachers in disciplinary and court cases.
At the Ministry of Education, he served as an advisor to the Minister. Subsequently, he assumed the position of Head of the Political Cabinet. Most recently, he held the position of Director General at the Ministry of Education.
He is a regular contributor to the Cracow-based Center for Political Thought. Prior to his appointment, he was also a member of the editorial board of the Arcana bimonthly magazine. Author of articles on constitutional law.
